About the Doctor
Cynthia Jaffe, D.C., NP-C, RN, F.I.A.M.A.
Cynthia Jaffe, a native of Wilmette, Illinois, has been credentialed by HMO Illinois, a Blue Cross Blue Shield HMO as a primary care physician to provide fully integrated primary care services to all members of HMO Illinois.
She is one of only 18 chiropractors in Illinois to have that distinction. This distinction is the first in the nation and the first for her profession to pave the way for chiropractic to work with the medical field in a capacity previously unheard of.
Dr. Jaffe is also a nurse and a family nurse practitioner with a dual licensure as both a nurse practitioner and a chiropractor in order to bring you the best of both worlds: alternative medicine and allopathic mainstream medicine.
Her excitement has been in taking part in the first working model of integrating alternative medicine with mainstream allopathic medicine.
In Dr. Jaffe's practice, patients have full access to medical specialists and medications, as needed.
What we don't do is the all too "familiar" medical visit of the 5 minute appointment and the one molecule pharmaceutical to treat your one "disease" approach.
Instead, Dr. Jaffe takes her time in listening to your needs and your symtoms. She wants to understand the mechanisms, triggers, and the other conditions that have been inpacted by your symptoms.
Dr. Jaffe does not just tunnel in to treat the neck and back, but rather you as an individualized person with conditions that may cross many specialties.
Her goal is to recognize and prevent the risks that inflammation associated with neck and back pain are to conditions such as ahlzheimers, cardiovascular, osteoporosis, and autoimmune conditions, to name a few.
In her own population of patients, she has seen great changes in the outcomes of her patient's overall health.
Patients are enjoying lower blood pressures, weight loss, better diets and increased energy levels.
Dr. Jaffe's education and experience in the healthcare field has enabled her to incorporate a patient-centered approach to medicine that is tailored to the unique needs of those who seek her counsel.
Because beliefs, attitudes, and motivations can all play a major role in overall wellness, Dr. Jaffe examines and includes the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of all of her patients in order to make a more holistic and accurate diagnosis.
Her devotion to good health is the basis and primary focus of her practice.
